i am canadian, i am fully white, as pale as they come. English, italian and irish by ancestry.
I work in surrey bc, I am sure you know that is a hugely Indian area.
I joined because the arranged marriage forum caught my eye and i wanted to be able to talk to other people about their thoughts on the matter

Hey that's fine man, thanks for the heads up. I read through a few of the forums, and just like most other forums on the net, there is a lot of ignorance out there. I am very used to experiencing that bullS#!t in person, too. Surprisingly, not many brown people like seeing me holding hands with a brown girl.
Thankfully, there are a few people on here it seems who are worth talking to. As for the rest, well, live and let live.
So you said you live in punjab now, or that is where you are from? I need to brush up on my Indian geography. canadian schools are very ethnocentric, we spent most of our time learning about north america and europe.

I'm a non indian also, although my ancestry is from the punjab, hence consider myself anlgo punjabi\british sikh etc!!
India to me is a multi ethnical entity (over 200 languages and races) which the majority has no relevance to me other then punjab!!
Trying not to get too political the formation of India should have consituted in a formation of a Independant State known as Punjab, but Nehru fooked over the punjabi sikhs!!!
