You are a jewellery shop owner.
One day a customer comes in to buy a $70 ring. He only has a voucher worth $100. You do not have any cash, so you go next door to the pastry shop and ask the owner to change the $100 voucher for cash. The pastry shop owner gives you the cash.
You go back to your shop and give the customer $30 in change along with the ring.
10 minutes later, the pastry shop owner comes in angry and tells you that the voucher is fake, and that he wants his $100 back. You apologise and give him the $100.
Question: What is your total loss? (the ring indeed is $70)

i give up, leave my brain alone! I think it is $200 as well. He gives the customer the ring for $70 from a fake voucher, and also $30 cash so that = $100, and then he has to give the shop next door the $100 for the voucher he exchanged = $100 Total loss = $200

A man is trapped in a room. The room has only two possible exits: two doors.
Through the first door there is a room constructed from magnifying glass. The blazing hot sun instantly fries anything or anyone that enters.
Through the second door there is a fire-breathing dragon.
How does the man escape?

It's simple man net loss for the shopkeeper is the fake voucher's cost which is $100. Losers this question is asked to test IQ it's a simple question but confusing language and bunnypie you failed.Ghost is smarter.

Ghosty is right......it is $100 indeed......you are forgetting he also got $100 from the shop he exchanged the voucher from. . Not quite right. He exchanged the £100 voucher, gave the customer a £70 ring and £30 cash change= £100 loss, but he also had to give the shop next door a £100 back = £100, which totals £200...
