maybe you should have said "is there a sample used on the thoka track as it sounds familiar" then the bummers might have chilled out a little and tru skool wouldn't have given you only an answer in the style he would!

Yea that aswell, sorry. Is there a sample used in 'Gabru haan da', on raw as folk, it drops in a hip hop beat in and out of the vocal part of the Kaka Bainwalia lyrics. just asking here-

What is your motive? Just asking. Either your a malicious individual or your just plain stupid??

Either your a malicious individual or your just plain stupid?? how is it stupid to ask what track a sample came from? lol The point I was trying to make (that flew way across your head) was that: 1. You've already assumed that the Strings on Thokha were a sample, then you asked Tru-Skool who informed you that it was not a sample. From the response 'Hmmm' copied and pasted, it appeared he was aggravated at your assumption. 2. You have again assumed that he has used a sample, maybe he has. But why ask here when you can find out the correct answer from Tru-Skool himself? Is that clearer?

Guys I say we take are Pitchforks and what not and give Tru Skool a little visit How dare he sample (if he did) when majority of the producers do it . But in all seriousness this is just going a bit to far ;D He asked a question it got answered. Finished.

Bhangraholicz, I can't say anything else to you. It appears your a difficult person who wishes to troublemake. You thought he sampled on Thokha, you asked him and he answered it. Why didn't you just ask him about Raw As Folk? Thats all I'm saying. I'm done with you, I'm sorry if you feel I'm dictating to you or being rude, that wasn't my intention.

This forum is for -asking bhangra questions -gaining knowledge of things we dont know -getting music info/links to songs Not for cussing-dissing-arguing-swearing. I admit my assumption was wrong, like i said before, but forums should try and run as smoothly as they can!

GROUPIES AND D!CKHEADS EXIST IN LARGE AMOUNTS I don't mean to sound rude but what gives you the right to brand somebody a Groupie or a d!ckhead? Don't you feel that it is quite abrupt, aggravating and downright rude? I find your post very patronising and quite insulting.

Its like you've been given the job of protecting the artist against any mention of their name whether it be good or bad, divine intervention or something.

Somebody earlier said that they saw a video of Specialist playing the strings on a video on Easylife website. What exactly does this prove? Other than the fact that IF something is a sample the person you're watching can re-play the sample with an instrument.

Oh simply great, so not only am I a 'bummer', 'groupie' and 'rimmer', I am also Tru-Skool himself. Wow, I didn't know this until you just enlightened me Pendoo. Thanks. I will ask my mother why she didn't tell me my name was Sukhjit Singh Olk and she gave me the name that I thought was mine. Drat, drat and double drat. ;D As for your second point, valid question. However in his reply Tru-Skool has mentioned that the piece is not a sample, so your karchi'ing is slightly irrelevant, no?

If you can manage posting that without any profanity's and in an English that the general public can comprehend I might take note of that comment. I will translate the post for you so that it is easier to understand: Mr. SMAYL, what ever do you mean by the terms groupies and d!ckheads? Last time I checked it was called being a fan. Liking something and sticking loyal to it; we can compare this to football. In football you have your favourite football team. If somebody insults your team, you will obviously stick up for your team and say "Not at all, they are the best", it is exactly the same in music. An example of this is your favourite artist, you would stick up for those that are making sublime music. It does not make you a groupie or any other derogatory term that you choose to use. Can you take note of that comment good sir?

good point however there are limits for when you stick up for the artist. If you go on a football forum there will be opposition fans, who give constructive criticism and positive assessments on the team in discussion. Then you have numptys and scum that like to think they have been given the god given post of defenders of the (football team/artist).
