Awful news, totally gutted but not shocked as his health has deteriorated over the last few years. He left us with his last piece of magic which was Maharajas and I'm just glad that Jazzy fulfilled his dream of working with his ustad and the Legend which was Kuldip Manak. May you rest in peace. You've gone..........but you will never be forgotten.

His vocals on Maharaja's was out of this world! I was hoping he would follow up with his own album!
His contributions to the music scene are unmatchable such as well as his influence on artists from the past, present and future.

RIP Ustaad ji.
Dev Tharikewala and Kuldip Manak, best musical talent. Also, the biographies will be out in newspapers tomorrow, but i'm pretty sure they all will be loosely bound from hearsay.

RIP Kuldip Manak, a real legend. Kaliyan Da Badshah The One and Only Folk King
Words don't do justice. Some may say it was his own fault due to alcohol but the other side is it is an illness.

The Times Of India:
BATHINDA: Thousands of people poured into the Anaj Mandi at Jalal village, home for legendary Punjabi folk singer Kuldeep Manak, to pay tributes to him on Friday. Manak had passed away on Wednesday at a local hospital in Ludhiana. People from Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi and Himachal Pradesh were present in the village where the burial took place.
A guard of honour was given by the police when his body was laid to rest.
While paying tributes, Jazzy Bains, Punjabi singer, said, "Manak was a strong pillar of Punjabi music industry, and to me, a father figure. Whatever I am today is because of him. His demise has left a void in our lives." Jazzy also promised to not only take care of Manak's son, who is ill, but also get his treatment done in Canada.
Punjabi Sufi singer Hansraj Hans mourned the big loss to the music world with Manak having passed away. He, along with other singers, including Harjeet Harman, urged the government to set up a memorial for such artists.
While singer Harbhajan Maan said that Manak has left the world, but his voice will stay alive through his immortal songs, Punjabi song writer Albel Barar, who has written over 100 songs for Manak, said the music world has faced an irreparable loss.
