Bhang = Milk + Crushed Almonds + Marijuana Drink drunk at Holi and Harvest.
Bhangra = Getting High and dancing to dhol beats in bright coloured clothing at harvest time after a long year of farming.

Whenever I'm asked what kind of music I listen to, I have a hard time giving an answer. Since I'm a fan of the more pop-fusion style, such as Stereo Nation and Rishi Rich, I don't want to call that Bhangra. However I also appriciate the more traditional sounds such as Malkit Singh, B21 etc., and classify this sound as bhangra.
But the original bhangra would be the panjabi folk music, such as Kuldip Manak. If there's a dhol present in the sound, and the lyrics are panjabi, then I think it's safe to call that Bhangra!
ps) I hate when POP music like Raghav or Jay Sean is called Bhangra. That's Asian R&B!
