yes caste system is wrong in Sikhi as Sikhs should believe in the equality of all human beings. i am talking in the sense that no1 should discriminate against others. as for ur second point tony, well ive not got a strong opinion about this, but im quite happy with the system at the moment. think about it, plenty of ppl our generation whilst sitting in the Gurdwara check out ppl of the opposite sex when they r sitting separately, can u imagine what would/could happen if they were mixed. one must remember the reason we sit at the Gurdwara is to be with Waheguru and understand His teachings, not get DISTRACTED. i believe thats the reason this is the case, if any1 else knows better than I, then plz tell. bham da jatt! My point is if your going to the Gurdwara , you should have some self control. We've all (well some) have scanned members of the other sex up in the Gurdwara. I know I 've done it in the past, but that was a long time ago. But as you getter a bit more older, you learn to have respect for your religion & you go to the Gurdwara for the right reasons & not to eye up members of the other sex up. But I have a feeling if we all sit together, people would show more control ,as it might be easier, to eye someone up, but it's also easier to get noticed as well. So I think people would be less likely to do it.
