Who is going to DMU this September? After leaving college early due to health reasons, I didn't get enough points for any course but one of the lowest ones at DMU (doesn't mean DMU is crap, I did have some qualifications, and even they nearly rejected me so I know they don't let anyone and everyone in). Got to work myself up again, but it's all part of the learning process and learning about choices made in life. Anyway I'm starting my studies at university in September and if anyone else is going to the same uni as me....message me or something. I'm all for making new friends ;D It's going to my first time away from home and like most new uni students, I'm a tad scared. I'm no where near as street wise as most "kids" and I can't self defend to save my life....so lets see how I survive at university in Leicester (I say I'm starting in September but one more thing to attend before I know for sure......Oh and I haven't even applied for grants and loans yet....I'm a tad lame when it comes to forms)

However I was more deriving a comparison between students who have just finished their A levels and didn't get their first or second choice university against students who got their first place in a top university. "I know i'll join DMU through clearing." = Retards. But like I said before can't mock it for women and social life. Bloody brilliant!

Most of the good universities in London have accepted people with lower grades than expected via clearing. I know friends who have been accepted. DMU is actually in the top 50 universities in the UK, beating quite a few well known names. It isn't Oxford or Cambridge but that doesn't make it a university for retards. The marketing manager for IBM was a DMU student(was the marketing manager at the time I did my research). A company like IBM wouldn't employ a "retard". As for some of the top universities, I know people who have graduated from those and still can't spell words correctly or use correct grammer. To stereotype a university like that just because it offers opportunies is simply unfair and inaccurate. It seems like it is mostly the South Asian community that thinks so low of DMU, many people who aren't South Asian seem to think highly of DMU.

The early bird catches the worm! Top 50 in where? Chalk and cheese ratings? haha I know on the Times it's not top 50 for sure. Well fire one in a thousand that's fine. No doubt you could graduate from DMU and be do well for yourself. I'm definetly not doubting that. Well your grammer seems fine, but will it be fine once you done your 3 years? Even the winner from the Apprentice can't spell, it don't mean much anymore except embarrasment. I remember when I was at college back then some of the people I knew went to DMU, and they were indeed retards. Always at the bottom on the pack like leechers who barely made it into university. I didn't go to Oxford or Cambrige except for a day or two. I wouldn't go back there in a hurry. Some of the blokes from DMU eat...

graduated from DMU and are earning a lot more than people without degrees. Not that I want to discourage people not to go uni, get a degree etc....however don’t be cussing people with no degrees….I probably own more properties now, than you lot will ever have in your life…..

I didn't mean to stereotype when I wrote that, obviously there are people without degrees that are doing well now, Sir Alan Sugar, Richard Branson and others a like. So I apologise. I was just trying to make a point and not offend.
