hey...us goodlooking people dont want to fall for this arranged marriage...just close ur eyes and roll the dice business the punjabi culture people sold us on for 2000 years.... people should be allowed to chose whose body hair they gonna be diggin outta the shower drain for the rest of their lives I agree , except for arranged marriage. People have the right to choose if they want arranged marriage. However, like BabbarSher, I also disagree with dating, but I am also not pro-arranged marriage. I am in the middle ;D

Londonjattlion paarji, you haven’t got a problem with people choosing those who they marry but you have a problem with dating?
There are plenty of people who date and then get married and live happily ever after. I don’t see what the problem is.
Having a boyfriend or a girlfriend is not wrong. But what is wrong is those people that, 1 – go out with the intention to get into a relationship 2 – get into a relationship for some time pass or some action, oh and those people that change their partners every other day.
If you truly love someone and are in a relationship with the intention to be together or get married then it’s all good.
Also, if a couple chooses to live together and not get married then there’s nothing wrong with that either, the same principles apply but they just don’t have a document to prove their relationship.
Lets be Pro-Love!

FTW^^ what are you... a rhundi
did any of your forefathers believe in relationships/love. your dishonouring ya ancestors. you should be ashamed of ya self.
love doesn't exist. thats the simple truth.
lineage exists and we should be pro-lineage.
subhumans have impure bloodlines because they believe in love.

Lets be Pro-Love! ok my way of thinking is, marriage is partnership but with a ceremony done. So basically, ceremony is no big deal to do. So in other words there shouldn;t be a reason that 2 persons needs to become partners without marrying. So personally, in a world that believes in marriage, and a community/culture that believes in it quite soldily, then the 2 criterias you said that make dating wrong actually aplly to nearly all cases of dating, and the only exception is when the couple really do believe in bf and gf being true parftners and don;t believe in marriage.

For example, these days some girls justify drinking because the guys do it, thats equality gone wrong lol. and actually , yeah, its both men and women doing this mess. I mean back in the days, mundeh and freshy men picked up goris. Now kuris make themselves easy by thinking its ok to make bfs. So the guys pick up the apni kuris under the guise of dating, and the kuris believe they are "dating" so its ok, and the men get girls without marrying, so both sides of easy peoples are satisfied. But blaming women, yeah it is the women who are more brainwashed by liberal romance from watching all the bollywood movies and hindi dramas, but then again the mundeh are listening to too much of this gangsta kala music as well.

But blaming women, yeah it is the women who are more brainwashed by liberal romance from watching all the bollywood movies and hindi dramas, but then again the mundeh are listening to too much of this gangsta kala music as well. Woman and Alcohol; We live in a liberal society where it is ok for women to drink alcohol. There is nothing wrong with drinking alcohol if you can control it. I hate the culture argument where men can get drunk every night, drinking pint after pint of Carling and when a woman drinks 100ml of wine she gets cursed and all of a sudden is a disgrace. Get over it, drinking alcohol doesn’t make you a bad person, drinking alcohol to extreme levels, becoming aggressive because of alcohol and exploiting it is bad. Im not sure whether I should bring religion into this or not… ‘Easy’ Women;Jatinder, being a liberal woman does not mean that the woman is ‘easy’. I don’t have a problem with people being in relationship, I just think it’s natural and part of life. I think it’s just our culture which has hyped about this whole relationship thing being wrong. I know plenty of people who are in relationships and have been with the same person for many years and I also know this couple, who have dated for nearly a decade and are planning to get married, is this wrong? Not all relationships are a waste, or time-pass or to brag to your mates that you've pulled the fittest man/woman etc etc.. Fair enough some of the girls we see out and about are completely lost, but why should you only look at the negative, why don’t you concentrate on the girls that are decent? [Please don’t say there aren’t any because there are!] Oh and maybe the reason for you thinking that apniyah kuriyah are easy may be to do with the constant negative attention they get from men. If men are going to give some girls constant attention then it’s not long before the girl is going to give in, maybe you should look at the causes of this. I know plenty of apneh munde that are not decent. Its all about sex sex sex. I know men that brag about sleeping with every Harpreet, Sandy and Ruby. I know plenty of men that frown upon a woman who is a virgin. I know plenty of men that take the piss out of certain girls who follow Sikhi. I’ve met guys who sleep around like crazy and then expect their wife to be a virgin. There’s plenty of guys out there who are total pr!*ks but I don’t go on and on about it and generalise. This whole thing can be blamed on men just as easily. ‘Brainwashed’ Women; ‘’women who are more brainwashed by liberal romance from watching all the bollywood movies and hindi dramas, but then again the mundeh are listening to too much of this gangsta kala music as well.’’ This is just bollocks. - Sometimes its better to not migrate - Sometimes its better to turn gay

I’m not sure whether you know about BritAsia TV (Sky 833) but they got a show called Broken Silence. I’m currently working with them, so I’m trying to get people into it. It’s talking about taboo subjects like Caste, and its relevance today and other topics such as homosexuality such as gays, lesbians etc.. It's a talk show aimed at opening people's minds, changing people's perspectives. I'm researching on a show about caste. We'll be looking at the role caste plays in our lives. Is it still significant today? How can we move forward from caste based discrimination? I’m wondering whether anyone would be interested in taking part and coming in to speak on the show?
