Aman Hayer is living proof of what you can achieve by having your own style. His style can be described by one word. ’Desi’. That is not to say he doesn’t have the ability to delve into different styles but Desi music is his speciality. Massive, dance floor fillers such as ‘Kali Kithe Mil’ (Kulvinder Dhillon), ‘Virsa’ (Manak-E) and ‘Gabru Sahkeen’ (Lehmber) are just 3 of his tracks that have helped keep Desi music alive in an industry that seems all too preoccupied with getting commercial success rather than feed the thirst for pure Desi music lovers. ‘Groundshaker’ is set to follow up on the widespread success of his last album ‘Reminisce’.
‘Tharti Hilde’ featuring Angrez Ali and G Money will prove another massive hit for Aman. It has that element of raw, desi vocals and youthful, vigorous sounds that we have come to expect from the man from Leamington. However, Angrez Ali’s vocals give this tune something different. An explosive start. Lehmber Hussainpuri lends his vocals to ‘Seetian’, the start of which is similar to ’Kali Kithe Mil’ but this track will stand alone. Feroz Khan is featured on ‘Dil Nai Lagda’ alongside Vinni to give us a enticing duet; evidence that Aman can move away from his trademark sound and give another aspect of music to his fans.
K.S Makhan is back with ‘Ik Kut’, another one that threatens to become a dance floor hit. ‘Dil Tor Giya’ is a beautiful, profound tune. Jaspinder Narula’s vocals take this track to a entirely different level. She is so talented it’s hard to explain, just listen to this track. The living legend that is Kuldip Manak teams up with his son Yudhvir on ‘Apne Begane’. This one will prove a popular tune because of the rarity of the situation. Father and son, Master and student perform this track together and at times the two voices become one. They amalgamate and it’s hard to tell there are two different singers!! A masterpiece? It could well be. Aman Hayer has proved his credentials to the critics already. What this album does is further strengthens the argument that Aman Hayer is one of the most talented young producers in the game.
F**k that, it PROVES he is.
