So now its not abt the music, its abt wether someone keeps the Sikh image or not? are u even listening to what ur saying?
just coz someone keeps respect for their religion doesnt mean they cant have a laugh and chill out as much as anyone else.
i say good on them and enuff respect for representing their faith and yet still living in the real world. it just goes to show that it can be done and aspiring to be a proper Sikh neednt hold u back from living a full life.
further to that i take it that whoever posted that comment should look at themselves before judging anyone else, especially people like Tigerstyle who are doing things the hard way by representing the Sikh image and breaking through misconceptions and prejudice to succeed instead of throwing that away in an effort to get ahead.
Big respect to Tigerstyle, Dj Stin, Jaz Virdee and the handfull of other artists upholding at least SOME rules of Sikhi.

Firstly, im not a part of Tigerstyle, i've never even met them.
im just quite amused how people seem to think that they can point the finger at someone for being a Sardar and judge them for producing music/being involved with Bhangra, whereas it seems that if u've got cut hair u have a free reign to do what u want and at the same time no one should have the right to judge u?
talk abt reverse racism! I wear a pug and dont cut my daari. I dont drink or do drugs either. does that mean i shouldnt be allowed to enjoy my cultural heritage (Bhangra etc) as much as anyone else? or does it mean that if i wanted to, i shouldnt be able to produce music? Just coz i play by some of the rules, y does that mean i cant enjoy life as much as anyone else?
we all have the rights to our own Religious, social and political beleifs, and we all have the rights to express them. I have mine, u have urs and they have theirs. But i do take particular offense to the angle from which u launch ur argument: The fact that they are Sardars.
To me thats the weakest possible reason to challenge what they do, coz essentially what ur saying is that if it wasnt for that one thing, u'd have no basis for ur argument.
We have enuff probs dealing with the ignorance from the outside world, we really shouldnt have to deal with it from within our own communities. think before u speak.

there is no point even trying to post anything intelligent about music on this board. this board is just used by fanatical idiots who live in the dark ages. every time someone posts anything good aout music they turn it into something about religion. i dont ven see the point in using this board now. id much rather use a board where people stay focussed on the music. turning every discussion into a religious debate makes for very boring conversation.
Big up to Tigerstyle. their music kills it every time. whether they're doing original stuff or doing bootleggs they always drop the hottest tunes!!!

singhs in bhangra
harbhajan talwar doing a reliougs tape cant b a bad thing! theres pure singhs in bhangra like (tigerstyle, tarli digital, navdeep). then therez the singhs who keep their beards trimmed (harbhajan talwar, rdb, puria, malkit singh, jassi sidhu, balwinder safri, dalvinder singh, kam bhamra, sukshinder shinda, late bindrakiya) then theres singhs who don't have pagg or beard but still r singhs (jay sean, 2dark, jazzy b, gurdaas maan, juggy d) its up to everyon how they dress and look, aslong as the bhangra is good, religion & look should not come into it!!

singh, boy did you get it wrong, true singhs? dunno about navdeep, but tarli and ts ain't true singhs. the only proper singhs in the uk industry are jas virdee and dj stin, they they only ones who've taken amrit. and besides religion ain't got jack to do with the music so i think everyone should just talk about the stuff that they release.... i think ts ain't bad, bit overhyped but still good.

some of the people who contribute to the posts on this website are just plain ridiculous!!! if you aint gonna make constructive remarks about the music then dont say anything at all!!! who cares what someone looks like or what religion they are, as long as they make good music its all good!!!
i think Tigerstyle are one of the best production outfits in the UK at the moment along with 2Point9 and people like Mushtaq. there are very few people in bhangra doing anything new or creative. Tigerstyle are one of the few credible producers within bhangra at the moment.
