Five-Day Festival Celebrates Bhangra in Vancouver
Vancouver, BC – From January 16 to 20, the Vancouver International Bhangra Celebration (VIBC) brings the rhythm, beats and soul of Bhangra to the City of Vancouver. Free workshops, outdoor concerts, an art exhibit, a narrated stage production and a dance competition –VIBC 2007: City of Bhangra features five days of exciting events to warm up this winter in Downtown Vancouver.
The 5-day festival concludes with the Bhangra Competition @ VIBC 2007 where ten of North America’s top teams will compete for a $5000 prize. Special guests at this year’s competition include the entire DCS Band, live on-stage, and UK singer, Juggy D. Detailed events listings and ticket information are available at www.vibc.org.
