Just saw VIVAH, and must say it is a very good film. In the days of westernized movies like SALAAM NAMASTE and K.A.N.K, it's nice to see a sweet, family movie that projects traditional values and reminds one of how important our cultural values are.

Saadi: ‘Vivah’ speaks about the sanctity of marriage; the importance of the engagement rings that we give to one another and that special right we get on each other - instantly. Rajshri Productions means you are likely to think of larger than life weddings consisting of an equally large family. Be it ‘Maine Pyar Kiya,’ ‘Hum Aapke Hai Kaun’, or ‘Hum Saath Saath Hai’. ‘VIVAH - A Journey from engagement to marriage’ Directed by Sooraj Barjatya. The movie leading stars Shahid Kapoor, Amrita Rao, Anupam Kher, Alok Nath, Seema Biswas and Samir Soni etc. After a hiatus of almost 17 years, Music Director Ravindra Jain is back in the Rajshri camp with his sweet music. The music of 'Vivaah' will be resonant of all previous Rajshri classics for which he has composed in the past. Plot: the adage that ‘marriages are made in heaven’ is so true. Otherwise, Prem (Shahid Kapoor) and thingyam (Amrita Rao) would have never met and fallen in love.
