Sikh Religious Educational and Interfaith Event
27-30 April 2006
An extraordinary Sikh Religious Educational and Interfaith Event is set to take place in Glasgow in
April 2006. This follows the success of many such events in various parts of the world, and which have
attracted thousands of visitors.
Guru Nanak Nishkam Sewak Jatha (UK) (GNNSJ) is honoured to announce that in collaboration with
all the Gurdwaras in Scotland, the Sikh community is hosting a Sikh Religious Educational and
Interfaith Event from 27 to 30 April 2006 in Glasgow. It is the first event of its kind to be held in
Scotland.
It follows an event held in August 2005 in Glasgow, Scotland, where Sikhs in Scotland participated in
marking the 700th anniversary of Scotland’s national hero, William Wallace’s death.
These programmes offer a great opportunity to share the universal message of Guru Nanak,
the Founder of the Sikh Faith, as well as raising awareness about the Sikh way of life.
The present chairman and spiritual successor of GNNSJ, Bhai Sahib Mohinder Singh, has been
raising awareness of the Sikh universal message, at a local, national, and an international level
for some time now and will be welcoming participants who have also been contributing to
interfaith events on the world stage. Among those expected to attend are:-
