The incident happened at the Guru Nanak Gurdwara, in Holy Bones, Leicester, yesterday. Police would not say how serious the fighting was.
In July, a meeting at the same temple descended into chaos when ceremonial swords were waved around the congregation.
Kulvinder Singh Johal, general secretary of the Gurdwara, said today: "A fight broke out between two factions of the community. No weapons were involved."
