ok if evolution occurs through the process of natural selection as
proposed by Darwin in 'the origin of species. Than we must assume that natural selection is acting on humans (an advanced primate) as we speak. However, the central dogma behind natural selection is that only the fittest survive and those traits that lead to the highest success in terms of number of progeny will increase their frequency within the population. (Shaun your unibrow must have some function behind it other than repelling attractive females).
If we look at human populations currently, we see that the poorest, in terms of availability of resources, amongst us (mexicans, blacks, third world freshies) tend to have high number of offspring in addition to quicker cycles of regeneration (time between generations) while those who are rather well off and educated tend to have few offspring and have longer generational gaps.
In the classical interpretation of natural selection therefore, those races that are the poorest are actually fitter and will eventually take over the world. However, we know that must not be the case. In the case of humans something else is at work.
Perhaps, it is because, we are able to artificially create genetic boundaries through biologically artificial genetic obstacles such as borders that well off races are not wiped off. Therefore the border patrol is anti evolutionary and anti natural selection.
Absent this naturally ocurring osmosis, an unnatural selection is taking place in countries like Canada and U.S. (England has been degraded to theird world status because they were unable to regulate their border). what is the nature of this selection tool? how does it operate to alter our phenotypes? is evolution speeded up by technology or slowed down? think think think mofos

thats what i mean...we dont have natural selection anymore at the individual level....whole countries act and behave as single organisms....so natural selection is selecting for the smartest people who can build a missile defense system over their country? yall know thats how we all bout to get selected into being a white people only planet right....the freshies back home can make as many babies as they want..but this is how its gonna go downnnn

ok if evolution is fer realz...then why dont insects have some mechanism to turn themselves over....
I mean look at a roach, if it flips over it dies....dont u think if it could flip itself back over using some extra leg or something to save its life, that would confer a selective advantage to it. So evolution is not alone in this? something else is at play

adaptiveadvantages of a "turning over appendage" are weighed against the disadvantages of having such an appendage for the population as a whole rather than at the individual level.
That means that the advantage conferred on an indiviudal roach (the ability to save its life by turning itself over) is outweighed by the advantage the population as a whole gains by not having a weird cumbersome appendage, that for the most part is useless, hanging on top of its shell. The population has decided that they can afford to lose a few members of the roach population in exchange for not having to carry this appendage.
more questions arise
what is the mechanism by which the population decides this?
What role has the environment played in this?
(since, for most of history, surfaces offering lateral movement have been primarily trees that have rough surface that is relatively easy for an insect to grab onto, what role do walls in modern buildings have in the evolution. Since walls typically are designed to be sliipperier ((is that a word?))) and more straight, no doubt this has resulted in more roach deaths due to turning over. Will modern buildings increase the rate of roach deaths due to turning over so much that it will become advantageous for the population to develop the turning over appendage?)
