Take a WAUC ! and help the worlds poorest children Rachael’s Children’s Trust is promoting a sponsored walk on Saturday the 6th of May in London in support of the world’s poorest children in Asia. The route will include the embankment, parliament square & culminate with handing over a petition at Downing Street “There are currently more children in Asia who live under the $1 a day poverty threshold, than in any other region of the world, according to the UN. The Rachael’s Children’s Trust seeks to empower these marginalized children to enable them to develop through education and skills training and thereby to contribute to the economic development of their nation. The Trust aims to create a culture of independence and self help as opposed to dependency. The WAUC gives every person an opportunity to participate and acts on behalf of those who have no voice. " Baroness Cox of Queensbury "A goal that seems so unattainable can be realized by the solidarity of its people at every level of society. Every individual can make a difference & help alleviate the immeasurable suffering of the most vulnerable members of our global society. As they say, every journey begins with a step....."
