1 Sikh 2 Another [guest] Right ToTurban Posted 1-11-2004 13:39 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To all - Sikhs please support the following petition www.petitiononline.com/sikh5555/petition-sign.html? Amarjeet [guest] Rag heads Posted 1-19-2004 12:01 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bet vast majority of "Sikhs" visiting this site do not have turbans. Also how many follow 5 K's. Why do you not protest at drinking of liquor at "Sikh" weddins etc. Sheetal [guest] Amarjit Posted 1-19-2004 20:23 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's called freedom of choice. Or being able to decide if you wnat to drink or not. Not letting other people tell you that your not allowed to do this or not allowed to do that!

When i see a man wearing a turban i see a man whos truely devoted to sikhism, i have my moment of security of having a sikh present with me....in the thought as having a brother with me.
Wearing the turban is a honer for sikh men not just a 5metre fabric around their head, so for all the sikh women out there.......consider a man with a turban. just because he wears a turban doesnt mean that hes boring or will not give you enough loving as a man without a turban!
to be honest........a man in a turban is more special to me, very attractive! and my husband to be in future will have a turban and baby if i have to put it in mandi then i will....!!
signing out....brinderjit x

ok, think this post died out a long time ago, so bham da jatt is re-kindling it, hopefully.
yes singh, what brinderjit said was quite touching indeed.
as most of u probs know, im a singh, n i guess when i went through my mid teens, i started thinkin well should i, shouldnt i?!
n i chose to be strong n i did. till i was 17/18 i guess i didnt have any attention from the opposite sex, then i met my first gf, n started to become more confident, she was reasonably good looking.
then my next gf, with whom i was with for a couple of years, she was an absolute stunner!! n she genuinly thought i was a hunk. i never ever thought like that before then, n she exerted so much confidence in me.
after we broke up, i decided i wanted to have a single life for a bit, n this single like carried a lot of confidence given to me by my ex.
since then, ive had sooo much attention from girls, its started to do my head in. y have things changed? well partly because my ex made me look beta, made me make an effort. i lost almost 4 stonnes of weight (lol no i wasnt that fat before lol) n i bought myself a new wardrobe. even still i pride my sweet walk-in-wardrobe. any1, i recommend it to u honestly!! ull never wear the same top twice in 6 months (ok, im gettin off the point)
n the other reason was confidence. this really was the key. she put so much confidence in me, n thats what girls like to see, a man thats confident.
obviously as well as looks (even though most girls can b quite shallow - particulaly sikh girls. sorry girls, but ive defo noticed it), personality is quite important.
after spending those 2 yrs with my ex, i think i really learnt how to treat a girl, treat her like my special princess. i feel in love with flowers lol (I AM NOT GAY!! lol) n i gues this bought a lot of attention to me....
anyway, so in conclusion, yes i think there r many girls out there that dont prefer singhs, but likewise there r many girls out there that do. n obviously there r those that dont mind.
rather than the girls sayin "oh r u singh?" n her makin her mind on it. now the turns have changed for me, i make the decision in sayin yes or no depending on whether she meets the criteria.
im sorry, i dont mean to sound arrogant, but in ur heart if u know ur a good guy, then ull get a good girl.
i really do wanna know what other guys n girls think about this, id love to argue this out....
ok, i have only talked about guys with turbans in relationships, obviously there is a lot more to wearing phags than going out with a girl, but since there is so much u can talk about, thought id concentrate on one of them.
take care, my love to u all

Well.....like i sed b4 not all sikh gals r shallow....cos i aint....i personally think im one of the least superficial ppl eva!!!! And gals who dnt like guys wiv paags i dnt really get em but i do understand where they r comin frm some girls just dnt find guys in paags attractive.....n i dnt see how its ne different to ppl sayin they find overweight ppl unattractive, or ppl with bent teeth unattractive or ppl wiv a bad haircut unattractive!!!! At the end of the day its upto the person....ive fancied monehs n paag vala......i dnt really have my ideal man pic in my head yet.....i fancy all types of blokes!!! But i dnt like the way ppl automatically assume a guy in a paag is more decent than a guy with cut hair....i no plenty of guys in paags that eat meat n drink, whereas all my family r moneh but we have neva touched meat or drunk a drop of alcohol.....however ppl r still shocked wen i do tell them im a veggie t-totaller!!!! But i do have respect for guys that do manage to wear their paag proudly and the gals that go wivout havin their hair cut either cos that can b just as hard...but as long as they stick to the rest of the rules....i cant stand the hypocrites that wear paags for the sake of their parents pride n then behind their backs do every wrong thing under the sun!!! Good on u guys for wearing paags!!!! TC
