what the fok is all this about??? www.bbc.co.uk/asiannetwork/events/melas/2009/london/london_desc.shtmlhe is out of breath after trying to gee the crowd up, and then the screaming starts. its almost like watchin an x factor audition when the contestant's voice breaks when tryin to hit that note that just isn't going to happen! even the haik just fades towards the end and then jind mahi is just too funny! Seriously, i'm all for new artists and all that but this is exactly the reason why UK bhangra is going down the pan!

The two comments above this one sum up my sentiments exactly.
What the hell was that? I already wasn't a monumental Des-C fan but now I just feel disgusted. Give up, you missed your album release date now stay true to your words and just leave music. Please.

Firstly, Des C is not UK Bhangra, he is urban asian, look at all the songs he has done, 99% are on an urban tip, its not his fault that bhangra sucks and is in a terrible state, he hasn't contributed at all to the poxy state that uk bhangra finds itself in, lets not throw his name in when we play the blame game. For me the guy is a solid artist, he writes his own songs, and has a decent voice, it might not be a great voice if you look at it from a bhangra point of view, but the guy is an urban artist and he pulls it off with his voice, the guy has had his fair share of success too, I don't see where the anti des c sentiments are coming from. Give up, you missed your album release date now stay true to your words and just leave music. Please. Have you got a link of where he said that, I want to see what context it was said in, im sure he was probably jesting. Iv read you post a similar thing about him missing his release date before too, I think you are knit picking mate.

WTF LOL how can you diss people who have paid to see u live? such an idiot. even his interviews where he tries to show off doing them in panjabi and not english but then struggles on simple pronuciation and grammar. the guy proves he knows nothing about marketing, he is supposed to be an urban act, so why the hell would he do interviews in panjabi? surely he would try and aim his target markets talking in english? 99% of people who would appreciate an interview in panjabi would turn over after seeing his ridicolous dress sense and lame vocals.

Hes in the wrong game, he should stick to yhe urban side...look how big tu bataja n the sef need a hero tracks are. Dont dabble your hand at something that doesnt suit you...stay on the hindi flex with bit part pop punjAbi vocals n he'll be successful.

some of his tracks are decent, e.g. jiska hasna, nachna ounda etc.. he isnt as bad as tank or juz-d.. he must have some sort of talent for tigerstyle to create tunes for him.

Although I have nothing wrong with artists using melodies that have been used before/traditional melodies - when they butcher them like Des-C then it does hurt me. I think he should lay off the singing, at least Panjabi if nothing else.

He said his release date in the video from our very own P2K: He is now saying that the release date is 14 Sept, I think hes telling the truth this time, theres always delays due to what ever reason. You can pre-order it on the Toofan Records site. TBH, I think hes not as bad as this thread is going. Hes different, and has his own style. His music is aimed at the "UK Bhangra" industry as he is speaking in punjabi, so who else will he aim at? The UK BHANGRA/PUNJABI industry is not large enough to have different branches coming off which he will fit in! over.
