Almost everyone will have an idea of what happened in Amritsar in 1984, but do we know what happened on November 2nd of the same year? Over 3,000 Sikhs were massacred over a 4 day period and many sources reveal much higher statistics of casualties. Fathers, husbands, brothers, sons were killed mercilessly, and daughters stripped of their dignity.
'There have been nine commissions of inquiry into the killings in the past 25 years. Only 25 people have been convicted for taking part in the killings. Most of the 72 police officers who were charged with dereliction of duty and offering protection to the attackers were exonerated; only four officers received any form of official punishment, including a reduction in their pensions.'
After 25 years and nine commissions of inquiry, the Indian government can and should do better.
Was justice brought to the families left behind? Does anyone remember the widows left without husbands, or fathers for their children? What can we do to help these people, and bring justice to those responsible for the massacres? What are your views on the subject?

The Indian govt the bhain deh yaar have always seen the Sikhs as a threat to their rice eating hindu ways!
If it wasn't for Guru Tegh Bahadur the Muslims would have wiped the Hindus out
Gandhi the skinny bald retard is hailed as the man who masterminded India's independence - what bollox! Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru gave their lives for independence, he screwed the Sikhs with partition!
Sikhs have no influence in India, Manmohan Singh is a puppet as well he got no real power. We got more respect from the British, they appreciate our ancestors gave their lives in WW I & II
who is on the frontline in Kashmir??? Sikhs
there is too much corruption for a truly independant inquiry to take place, there will never be any justice for the families - only Waheguru will provide justice!

if the mods do take offence then they are just as bad as the indian govt, but i think they will quietly agree with what i said...
bollywood is a joke, every year is the same... how many ways can we make the same storyline??? the soundtracks are usually good, even if the last couple of years have left a lot to be desired but the films are either all the same or just hollywood rip-offs!
