Dear colleague
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh
SCUK, A request for your View…
As you are aware as a direct response to the ground swell of grass roots opinion the Sikh Council UK is being set up and will be formally inaugurated on 11th December 2010.
The primary purpose of SCUK is to establish a platform upon which a shared Sikh Agenda can be developed and delivered. It is intended not only to respond to issues affecting the Sikh Community but to also proactively pursue our collective aspirations.
Over the last few years several Sikh organisations in UK initiated a number of Sikh Agendas. These include:
• Agenda 25 and the Khalsa Defence Strategy developed by East Midlands Council of Gurdwaras.
• 10 crucial questions submitted to all political parties during the May 2010 elections by Sikh Community and Youth Services (Notts)
• There have been a number of notable developments and works by The Sikh Federation UK on the pledge and the Sikhs in Englands’ strategy.
For the first time in a survey of its kind we are asking you to share your view of what you think should be the first top 5 priorities to be addressed by SCUK in its first 2 years of existence.
We welcome and await your view by 27th November 2010.
We thank you in advance for your contribution. Responses can be submitted by email to: info@sikhcounciluk.org or on www.sikhcounciluk.org, where further details can also be found
Yours Faithfully
On behalf of SCUK Adhoc Committee
