The Sikhs in Britain are a large and established group, but this is not always evident. The last survey carried out in 2001, at that time, approximately 300,000 Sikhs completed the Census, however it is estimated the Sikh population exceeded 700,000. The impact of not completing the Census form to receive social, political and economic support is enormous. To receive the maximum support it is very important for us all to complete the Census form fully & accurately. Why is the Census important for Sikhs and how will it make a difference? Completing the Census form is very important for Sikhs as it is an opportunity for every Sikh to be counted. The amount of money our council has to spend on services is based on population statistics from the Census. That is why it is so important that everyone takes part. onlinema1.census.gov.uk/questionnaire/login.do
