Steve Hanley AKA Steve Antonio AKA Selecta SDJ Steve Antonio R.I.P. 1975 - 2006. A friend, A wicked DJ & A TRUE Gentleman. You will be Missed! Steve always had time to give budding DJ's help & advise. His knowlegde of music was vast & anyone who ever met him never had a bad word to say about him, nor did he about anyone. He was one of the best all round DJ's on the scene & was one of the first Black club DJ's to play Bhangra. Before the Days Of PMC, he always used to spin Malkit's Singhs Mitthe Ganne on vinyl in clubs and was always asking me for more vinlys like that. RIP. I can't believe you were only 31. You seemed more than that, simply because of your knowledge & wisdom of music, it made you look wise beyond your years. I never really knew you as a a friend, just as a DJ, who was always smiling I hope you will still be spinning away those vinyls for the man upstairs. RIP.

RIP my friend. U were a true person. What you saw was what you got with Steve. I remeber him from the days of Selekta S when I was @ uni in Leicester. He was always talking to everyone, from the public, the othere djs & always always had a smile on his face. I never really knew you, but we spoke on more than 1 occasssions & you were always polite & would make the effot to answer my questions about the music you played, always with a smile. RIP, the world is a sadder place with out you

RIP STEVE, will always remember the gigs we did together, that was where u discovered the bhangra tunes u got! 1brother gone frm the click we had. Jus found out frm dj flo and i want everyone to know steve antonio was a soul survivor. And unlike other djs at the time bhangra was crossing he always had mad love for the music and tried hard to convince other djs playing different genres of music that bhangra one day will crossover, still remember the time u came to my residence to get indian percussion samples with black vinyl magic, all you people you know who you are, see you at the funeral in memory of STEVE ANTONIO(soul survivor)

Still in shock and really can't believe it, cant believe god took him when he still had so much more to give. A sound down to earth guy and a wiked dj. Made my teenage years at zanzibar so much fun, never forgot a face and always said hello. Always did me a shout out, always played my tunes. He was never 1 of those with a chip on his shoulder, it was just about the music! May you truely Rest In Peace Steve Trish XX
