WEST MIDLAND'S SIKHI WEEK

Following on the success of previous weeks, the Sikhi Weeks of the West Midlands is back, and boy is it going to be bigger than ever! With displays, talks, fairs, a classical music concert and a massive langar event, this week promises to be the best yet!

GATKA: LIVE N' EXPLOSIVE
WEDS 24TH NOV: 2-6PM
UNIVERSITY OF WOLVERHAMPTON: SPORTS HALL
Colourful and exciting display of an ancient Sikh martial art (Gatka) Accompanying the display will be a Fair in the university Sport's Hall. There will be displays from local organisations & information on Sikhi. Free refreshments will be served, short films shown and charity events will take place. Entry will be free for all!

A top barrister dedicated in the field of human rights will lead the lecture, 20years on from the massacre of Sikhs that occurred in Delhi. We will explore what happened then and since and what can be done next. Video clips will also be shown. Free refreshments to be provided.

SEVA: LANGAR ON CAMPUS!

UNIVERSITY OF BIRMINGHAM: OUTSIDE CLOCK TOWER
The aim is to provide a free meal to as many people as possible on campus in celebration of Guru Nanak Dev jee’s Gurpurb. Langar will be served in a large marquee in the middle of campus. As much help as possible is needed for this event, so come along to partake in seva in a unique way!

Seminar led by a learned member of the congregation on the Sikh’s Guru, Guru Granth Sahib Jee. Discussions will also focus on 400years of Guru Granth Sahib Jee that the Sikh’s are celebrating this year.
